Tonight I got my first glimpse of the cover art for my upcoming book. It is amazing how that can make you feel. This is definitely the little boost I needed to push me forward. A small step forward, towards progress that seems more tangible. We make progress every day but this is a look to what I have been working towards, a book in my hands. With this I can envision just slightly more what it will be like and that makes it all the more real.
Learning this process is both challenging and rewarding. It is on nights like this that I desperately want to dive into the characters that have built up in my head and unleash them onto the world. I am still trying to learn that balance between doing all of the things I need to do to get my work out there and continue to do what I love; create worlds with characters you want to know.
I will not blather on too much; I just wanted to shout to the sky about something good. I will try to keep it to a minimum but I will of course let you know when things are moving. Thank you as always
