So I will confess that I am somewhat of an Ancient Aliens fan, maybe I am under reporting this a little. Over the last five days I have had the great pleasure of lying in the floor all day due to my back not realizing I need to be able to move without a knife being shoved into my spine with every step. So let’s make lemonade out of lemons; I was able to sleep, not take for granted mobility and watch a lot of T.V. For my choices I was able to see some shows with one episode after another, marathon brain drain.
Me being me, I was channel surfing and low and behold Ancient Aliens was on…a lot. I was in. I fluffed my pillow, cringed when I moved and took some more medicine. Ah, episode after episode of theory after theory was served up with fine graphics and some colorful host. Of course I’m in. How could I not be? We are a generation hooked on T.V. shows, I am a sucker for a good story and I live by the rule that we don’t know everything and we must be open to something other than what we are traditionally told; otherwise we live in a flat world.
I grew up in a time when the idea of aliens became much more of a real thing. Humans were leaving Earth to reach into the void of space for many reasons. So it goes to reason if we can do this, well maybe others have done the same thing. As the shows name tells you, Ancient Aliens may have come here for who knows what reasons. They present some theories that are completely plausible and some that are a little more border-line out there.
Some of my favorite movies involved space and aliens; sometimes they were friendly, some were trying to wipe us out and some were just weird. Does it matter? I love the ideas they come up with and I love watching the show over and over. It is my desert, my tabloid and a little piece of what if?
