I love it when a lot of things that I love come together; it’s like a birthday with fireworks and winning the lottery. This happened recently and I‘m stoked. I love cool old places that have been brought back to life with new and interesting businesses that I can hang out in or just hide; maybe I shouldn’t be telling you about them on here. Anyway, this is something I really enjoy. The energy is something far different than some sterile bland huge business model. In my neck of the woods, in Paducah Kentucky, there was this old vacant Coke plant, it has been there for a long time and is an interesting historic building. It now has a businesses in it which I love. So far I have only been to one and I have plans to visit the other given the time and opportunity.
The next great thing about this place is that they serve tea, oh and coffee but I don’t drink coffee; you don’t want to see me on coffee. Yikes. But I love tea if you know me and this tea was awesome. I had my first cup of Earl Grey and what a great cup it was. They blend all of their own teas and I am anxious to try some of the others they were eager to talk about. Now if you happen to love coffee they do that as well and it looks like they will be able to deliver a pretty unique coffee experience also. They do all of their own roasting and have this crazy drip machine that I will have a hard time explaining. Back to the tea, I love it and there are several small rooms you can sit and relax while enjoying a cup of whatever is your addiction. I may have another spot to get creative in.
The place is called Pipers Tea and Coffee, about time I mentioned their name; I know you were thinking it. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and eager to share a great new experience. That passion is something I look for because it inspires me to do something…anything, as long as you are moving in the right direction surrounding yourself with people and places that inspire you and give you the right vibe. For me tea always takes me somewhere, maybe it is just the caffeine making my brain buzz a little but that is okay. I would dare to say if you can’t find me; this may be one of the little unique local places I will haunt. If your desire to hide, enjoy some good energy or get your caffeine fix is overwhelming then this may be your new place.
